The Visiting Nurse Association of Florida is a non-profit, Medicare certified, home health agency based in Stuart, Florida. We provide a variety of at-home health services including skilled nursing, therapy, Alzheimer’s care, disease management, and palliative care. Our original office opened in 1976, and consisted of one office manager, one nurse, and one part-time physical therapist, performing just 30 home health visits in our first month of operation. Now in 2017, we have over 700 employees and conduct 215,000 patient visits annually.
Our experience and understanding of the home health field encouraged us to delve further into the world of senior care. We built our first assisted living community, Grand Oaks of Okeechobee in 2011, followed by Grand Oaks of Jensen Beach in 2014 and Grand Oaks of Palm City in 2016. Each community gave us additional insight into the process of constructing assisted living communities from the ground up.
Both our experience in home health care and our knowledge of the community management process encouraged us to expand our services even further. We started the Visiting Nurse Management Company in the beginning stages of our first assisted living community to help companies navigate the complexities of assisted living management. We can support clients throughout the funding and construction processes, with the clinical side of the industry, with the day-to-day operations of the community itself, and much more.
